Croudace House was originally built in 1863 by Thomas Croudace. Major extensions were carried out in 1878-79 and designed in the Victorian Filigree style. The building is heritage listed.
Directions
Hunter Heart is in Suite 7, Level 1 at The Heights Medical Centre. Follow the concrete walkway directly behind The Croudace Tea and Coffee House (pictured above), through the glass door and up two flights of stairs to your right. If you need to use the elevator, enter the Newcastle Private Hospital building to the left of the coffee house and follow the walkway from the 1st floor (the walkway is to your left as you exit the lifts).
If driving, parking is available in the Specialist Centre car park ($4/hour), underneath the Kingston Building of Newcastle Private Hospital ($4/hour) or in Carpark 6 at John Hunter Hospital which is a 5 minute walk. City bus routes 13 and 42 both enter the Rankin Park campus. Get off at the first stop after the Lookout Rd roundabout and walk to Croudace House, The Heights Medical Centre (about 5 min).
